This is Chris. This is Chris being SCARY productive. Seriously.
If you’re following on Twitter you know I’m putting out a massive amount of words. As of today, 37 thousand words since March 2, actually. This is not because I suddenly got inspired to write A Great Book (although, modestly, I am. <– okay, not modest. But it’s a good romance and I’m having fun and I hope you all will, too, when it comes out.) but because January and February went by and then suddenly it was March and I had four weeks to write a novel.

Let me break it down for you.
In January and February I wrote the remaining Chasers in Used, Rare and Custom Jobs. I wrote three short stories and I poked at Acquired Tastes (more about that later). With those more or less off my desktop (I do need to polish a chaser and one of the shorts before I submit them) and a vacation to visit Jodi had, I buckled down to write Turn the Other Cheek, the sequel to Cheek to Cheek.
So for two weeks I’ve been dealing with cranky firemen. Oy. I’m liking the story, really. It’s Mal and Will, so there’s hotness and there’s two strong opinions and there’s family issues. I’ve found some interesting things about Mal’s family, and I’m excited about how the story is going to conclude. Canada, how I love thee. <3 There’s a really hot scene in Toronto. Yes, yes. I know.
ANYWAY. Moving on. Other news — I’ll be at Romantic Times in Orlando, April 22-26. Come find me! I spent a week making 1150 key chains. My fingers are still slightly swollen. I’ll be spending April and May working on a story for the Spice it Up! line at Torquere (I have Garlic. Does this mean I’ll do what I’ve always said I wouldn’t??? Hmmmmm??? Does it???!!?), a Single Shot for their anniversary in September (cowboys, natch). Then all that will be left (under contract and/or promised) will be finishing
Acquired Tastes. The Novel. The book I’ve fallen so far in love with that I’m terrified of messing it up. That happens sometimes. I’ve learned that it’s best to ride it out, keep writing, and for the love of all things publishable get three beta readers who you (being me) really, really trust. When they crit it, cry and take a bath and deal. Seriously. For the story to be the best it can be, there will need to be a bit of distance between it and my heart. BUT HOLY COW I love this story! So, Carrigan, Addison, Steph — you have not been forgotten! You are being written in and the title is set, as promised in the rules of my contest! Hopefully I’ll be ready to send out the release forms before my August vacation, yo. Only seven months late.

Okay, that’s it. Back to work.
OH! A question, for those of you who have read 911 recently (I frankly don’t have time to check on a fact and need help!) Spoilers and question below…..
